RippleNami® Wins Stevie® Award in 2019 International Business Awards® for Advancing African Women
Winners Celebrated at the International Gala Event in Vienna, Austria
San Diego – RippleNami, Inc., a provider of AI blockchain data visualization technology, was named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the Technology Company of the Year category in the 16th Annual International Business Awards®.
The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small – are eligible to submit nominations. The 2019 IBAs received over 4,000 entries from organizations in 74 nations and territories.
“RippleNami takes this distinction to heart as we continue to empower women in Africa in ways that will endure for generations to come. We are witnessing the power of technology taking hold in countries that have long been denied economic prosperity and are now enjoying empowerment through connectivity,” explained Jaye Connolly-LaBelle, chairman and chief executive officer at RippleNami.
“It is an honor to be recognized for our core mission of connecting the unconnected. As an example, African women farmers suffer from a multitude of market and cultural disadvantages that stem from a lack of land size and ownership tenure, authority on crop selections; market pricing indicators; and accessibility to capital resources necessary to fund and scale operations. Using RippleNami’s technology, women farmers are empowered to forge partnerships, enterprises, cooperatives and/or associations to leverage greater buying power and lease more land or cultivate their land parcels more profitably. The ultimate advantage that will drive the greatest value for women is that by controlling their land, crops and supply chain through RippleNami’s platform, women farmers become part of their country’s economy and control their future,” said Amy Johnson, RippleNami’s chief operating officer.
Participating judges cited RippleNami’s approach to empower the complicated role of a women not to mentioned in the African environment a great cause and realization to it. In addition, the judges were impressed on how Ripplenami addressed the global problem not only in B2B sector but also in keeping women competitive. “We couldn’t be prouder of this recognition from these prominent judges and congratulate our global team for their unrelenting commitment to the mission and to the deserving people we serve,” Connolly-Labelle said.
Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 250 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from May through early August.
“The IBA judges from across the world were highly impressed with the nominations they reviewed this year. With the level of achievement documented in the nominations from 74 nations, the Stevie Awards are proud to honor organizations that demonstrate a high level of achievement in a variety of industries,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “We received more nominations than ever and honored all the Stevie winners at our gala in Vienna, Austria.”
A record total of nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Company of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Startup of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year, among others.
